My Review:
An excellent continuation to the brilliant fantasy that is the grishaverse. I loved getting back into this world, it’s unique magic system and brilliant characters. The book was quick to remind me of things that I’d forgotten from the last books
I enjoyed the different perspectives in this book, Zoya, Nikolai and Nina, as well as Isaak, each were equally as compelling as the others.
The storylines themselves were exciting and interesting, Leigh Bardugo managing to come up with new, unique ideas for the plot and lore of this world, despite it already being so diverse. The ending left me wanting more and i will definitely be reading Rule of Wolves very soon.
There was some romance in this book, but as a subplot which i much prefer to it being the main plot that’s forced into the story a lot of the time. The romance in this book was subtle and fitting, adding to the plot.
Would definitely recommend this book to anyone who likes fantasy for a fun, exciting plot with well-developed, human characters
My Rating = 10/10
